Independent public webcam archive

Legal, content rights and takedown

AU Snow Cams is an independent Australian project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any resort, tourism body, webcam operator, road authority, lift company, weather provider, or emergency service shown on the site.

Content rights and attribution

Webcam images, stream embeds, resort names, logos, source pages, weather observations, and snow reports remain subject to the rights, licences, terms, and attribution requirements of their respective owners and providers. AU Snow Cams adds archive playback, timestamps, source links, change detection, date navigation, and weather context; it does not claim ownership of third-party camera imagery.

Public accessibility and attribution alone are not treated as permission to store, republish, or commercially monetise an operator's content. Advertising requests stay disabled for camera inventory unless a documented rights review confirms the required storage, republication, and commercial-use permissions.

Corrections and takedown

An operator, rights holder, or authorised representative may request removal of a camera, removal of stored images, a lower capture frequency, corrected attribution, or another reasonable restriction. Email [email protected].

Include the camera or resort name, the official source page, the action requested, and enough information to verify your authority. The operator will investigate and act as promptly as practical. The dedicated contact page lists the same route for corrections and privacy enquiries.

Weather, timestamps and safety

A timestamp describes when AU Snow Cams captured or stored a frame; it may not be the exact time the camera operator produced the image. Cameras and observations can be delayed, stale, obscured, offline, incorrectly configured, or located at a different elevation from the place a visitor is considering.

The site is for visual reference and historical comparison only. Do not rely on it for travel, road, lift, avalanche, weather, emergency, or operational decisions. Check the relevant official resort, Bureau of Meteorology, road authority, and emergency-service sources immediately before acting.

Advertising standards

The application contains no hand-placed ad units, in-frame ads, ad placeholders, sponsored-link blocks, sticky ad containers, paid endorsements, or prompts asking visitors to interact with advertising. If monetisation is enabled after all release gates are complete, the site loads only Google's standard Auto Ads script.

Advertising must remain distinguishable from publisher content and must not obscure camera views, imitate navigation, sit deceptively beside playback controls, encourage clicks, or outnumber the useful content on a page. AdSense programme policies apply continuously, not only during account review.

Read the separate privacy and cookies policy for advertising, analytics, cookie, consent, and data-use disclosures.

Availability and liability

The archive is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, no warranty is given that it will be accurate, complete, continuous, secure, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.
