AU Snow Cams
Privacy and cookies policy
This policy explains what information may be processed when you use AU Snow Cams, why it is used, which third parties may receive it, and the choices available to you.
Information handled by the site
AU Snow Cams does not offer public user accounts, payment forms, comments, newsletters, or uploads. The site is designed to collect as little personal information as practical.
The web server, reverse proxy, CDN, security provider, and hosting infrastructure may process technical request data such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamps, response status, and error details. This information is used for delivery, security, rate limiting, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and reliability.
If you email the operator, your email address and message content are used only to investigate and respond to your request, maintain an appropriate record, and meet any legal obligations. They are not added to a marketing list.
Functional storage and analytics
A first-party functional cookie remembers the snow resorts selected in the camera dashboard for up to one year. It contains resort identifiers only and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can remove it by clearing the selection or your browser's site data.
The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page use and diagnose performance. Cloudflare may process request information, including IP address, user agent, page URL, referrer, and timing data, under its own privacy commitments. AU Snow Cams does not send names, email addresses, or account identifiers to that analytics service.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and third-party advertising vendors may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve, personalise, limit, secure, and measure ads, prevent fraud, and report performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and apps. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also use browser controls to block or delete cookies.
If additional third-party ad networks are authorised in AdSense, their cookies and data use are governed by their own policies and the choices offered through Google's consent and advertising controls. AU Snow Cams does not sell personal information directly and does not create its own advertising profiles.
Consent and regional privacy choices
Before serving personalised ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the site must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The consent flow must provide the disclosures and choices required for the visitor's region, including a way to decline where required.
Advertising code remains release-gated until the operator has published the required Google-certified consent message and completed the documented content-rights review. Those gates are independent of browser cookie controls and must not be bypassed for an account review or production launch.
Third-party sources and embedded media
Camera source links, weather-provider links, and embedded video players are operated by third parties. Following a link or loading an embedded player may allow that provider to process request information and set storage under its own terms and privacy policy. AU Snow Cams does not control those external sites.
Questions and requests
For a privacy question, correction, or deletion request, email [email protected]. Include enough detail to identify the information or page involved, but do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Content ownership and removal requests are also covered by the legal and takedown policy.
